Lo and Jake are freaking FUN!
These two!! As Lo laughed on her wedding day, I came into her wedding like a wrecking ball. Ask me more about how this happened in person – I may or may not have fallen in a sewer upon arrival! – but trust me when I say this: Lorren and Jake are phenomenal and funny people. Like, you want to be besties with them as soon as you meet them and poor Jake had to sit with me and Lo a few weeks ago where we had coffee for hours and talked about ghost tours and dinosaurs and everything under the sun. These guys are ridiculously rad and I am so excited to introduce them to y’all because they are GEMS!!
Here’s three things I loved about their wedding day!
One: The lace detailing on Lo’s wedding dress sleeve.
I love unique wedding dresses and I also love everything vintage. Lo’s dress from Norman’s Bridal married these two things perfectly and the detailing on her sleeves was a straight up dream. This girl is stunning!!
Two: That Lo called Jake her “ex-boyfriend” the whole night.
Right after Lo and Jake married one another, Lo accidentally introduced Jake as her fiancé and, from there, she called him her husband / ex-fiance and, before long, everyone kept calling Jake her ex-boyfriend and it was awesome. I mean, who wouldn’t crack a smile at that?! So funny!
Three: These flower headpieces by ZuZu’s Petals
Y’all know I love flowers and I really love flowers used in wedding hair (combs! crowns! I love it all!) and I loved that, at Lo and Jake’s wedding, Lo wasn’t the only one with a floral headpiece. Her bridesmaids wore them as well and they were so gorgeous!! Lo and Jake’s wedding had such a romantic and fun vibe and the whole day was full of so much love and light and – you guessed it! – MAGIC! Can’t get over the love these two share and I’m so thrilled I got to photograph their wedding at Sassafras!
