Every once in a while, I get an inquiry that makes me laugh on the spot.
And when Lauren’s mom inquired with me about Lauren’s Senior Session? She said this: “My daughter knows Ryan and we just really love your odd photographs”. Not knowing Lauren’s mom, I tried to keep myself from laughing but failed, bursted out laughing over the phone, and blurted “That’s a good thing, right?!” because, while my mom may call my photographs a little odd and a little quirky, I’ve never heard someone else’s mother call my photographs odd and quirky (at least not to my face!).
It. Was. Amazing. (And hilarious, too!)
So! Basically! From the very moment of booking, Lauren’s senior session was full of laughter. Lauren is quirky and fun and so full of love and smarts and she’s also also unbelievably gorgeous (obviously) and I loved every single second of her session. As we wandered through bookshelves at the Dickson Street Bookshop and trekked across, like, mini lakes taking up all of Gulley Park, Lauren and I laughed about everything. We laughed about protons and neutrons (I can’t make this up) and about books and movies and about how photography is legit the weirdest (and most amazing!) job ever and, honestly, I could photograph this girl every day. She is a riot.
So! Without me writing eight walls of text! Here are Lauren’s senior photographs! Lauren just graduated from Bentonville High School (just like so many of my lovely 2015 Seniors!) and is headed to Memphis in the fall where she’ll study about science and mitochondria and electrons and have the most amazing time of her life. Think of me when you eat at Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken, Lauren! That place is the best.
