There’s a lot of things I love about life and photography but one of my very fave things? Watching my wedding couples become parents! Family sessions – and baby sessions! – are always so much fun but they always hit a little closer to home when I’m photographing the family of a couple I’ve known for years and been able to capture at different life stages? It’s just the best!

And when the baby is as cute as Carter? Ugh don’t even get me started!!

Lauren and Zach got married at Kindred Barn in 2018 and, since then, it’s been so fun to see these two out and about, especially at craft fairs. Lauren is the artist behind Painted Peony and she has the most amazing art merch. I love a craft fair and love running a craft fair booth for Opal and June and I’ve seen Lauren lots over the years both ways. And her booth is always the cutest! Which honestly is really easy for Lauren because girl has a smile that lights up the whole room. And as a mom? She is glowing!!

For Carter’s newborn photos in Fayetteville, we shot in around Lauren and Zach’s home. We explored the garden, took advantage of absolutely beautiful light, and had so much fun meandering, chatting, and taking photos. Cannot say enough good things about these two + their sweet babe!
