Inn at Carnall Hall Wedding | Three Things I Loved About Kelly and Doug’s Wedding!

Y’all! I have the sweetest Inn at Carnall Hall wedding to share with you.

Kelly and Doug tied the knot in the summer of 2020 surrounded by their closest family and friends. Their ceremony was so sweet – they were married by Doug’s brother-in-law Mitchell! – and Kelly was one of the happiest brides I’ve ever seen in my entire life. These two are so in love and it showed every minute of their wedding day! Here’s three things I loved about their magical day!

One: The Letters

Y’all! I have seen a lot of letter reading during my time as a wedding photographer and this one was, hands down, one of my very favorites. Huge tears, huge laughter, and enormous hugs, too. I mean, look at Kelly’s face!! I smile so hard every time I see these photographs. Like, they just totally hit me in the heart. I bet they will for you, too! So cute!!

Two: The Sunflowers

Kelly absolutely loves sunflowers and it was so fun seeing them peppered throughout Kelly and Doug’s Inn at Carnall Hall wedding. Sunflowers are such a happy flower and I always love seeing them pop up in wedding bouquets. So gorgeous!!

(Side Note: Yes. Yes I did grow a 14 Foot Tall Sunflower this year.)

Three: The Greetings

Kelly and Doug were married pretty early into covid – their wedding was in June! – and, since so many of their friends were unable to attend the ceremony, Kelly and Doug set up a little drive by reception after dinner. It was such an awesome idea and brought so much joy to their wedding day! These two are so loved and their wedding was so joyful!

Also, Fayetteville is such a tiny place – during these photographs, my brother and his wife walked by, too! I have four siblings living in Fayetteville right now and it’s always so fun to run into them while I’m shooting.

Kelly and Dough, I am so happy for you both! Can’t wait to see what life has in store for you!

Alsoooo funny story that has nothing to do with Kelly and Doug’s wedding but is a little related. Doug’s sister Carrie is one of my very favorite brides-turned-friend and Poppy is OBSESSED with Carrie’s daughter Ruby. Like, they came over last week and Poppy immediately hugged Ruby when she came through the door + followed her around like a puppy and even wore her shoes. Hahaha. So grateful I got to shoot Carrie’s wedding years ago and so grateful I got to shoot Kelly and Doug’s wedding last year! They’re the best!
