The Tanner Family | Family Photographer in Northwest Arkansas

Have I mentioned lately how much I love photographing families?

No, really. I absolutely love photographing families. I spent most of 2011 photographing families and then in 2012 I spent all my time photographing weddings and, when I wasn’t photographing weddings, I photographed high school seniors and babies. And I really, really love photographing weddings and seniors and brand new babies that smell like milk and formula and extra snuggles and extra fabric softener. But, lately, there is just something about families. The warmth, the closeness, the often-shy nervousness and the stereotypical nervous and sometimes annoyed dad- I love it all. I have only been the primary shooter at one wedding since Henry was born (with one coming up in a few weeks!) so, this year, I have been really focusing on all other kinds of portrait work and, before I knew what had happened, I just fell in love with families. Photographing families is an amazing experience and I just had to gush about it for a minute.

And now! For this cute family!

I have known Nathan since I was eight years old. He was friends with my brothers growing up and, once I started high school, he became one of my close friends as well. We went to school together, went to church together, and even worked after school together. I have so many memories of him from high school (and after high school too, of course!) and it was so much fun seeing him with his beautiful family two weeks ago. These three are such a cute, happy family and they just radiate with the love they have for one another. I loved catching up with them and I am so excited to share their sweet photographs! I mean, how much cuter could they get?

What an adorable family! Lovely work 🙂

What a sweet and cuddly family! I love the shots of dad playing his violin!

And thanks for all the sweet comments, y’all!

Lovely! I especially love all the beautiful colours!

What a beautiful session! That first image is pure joy. I love how you captured the love this family obviously has for each other.

These are so lovely… the light is so great! Was it in the evening?

Hey Lindsey! They were actually taken late afternoon. I believe we started at 5:30 and wrapped up in less than an hour.

I love the hat. All these are adorable. The colors are great.
