Colorful Spring Engagement Photos
It feels like a great morning to post some of my all time fave engagement photos! With colorful walls, Bentonville’s 8th Street Market, and a seriously in love couple, these photographs bring me so much joy each and every time I look at them! Derrick and Jorge, y’all are the best!
And 8th Street Market? It’s pretty dang cool, too.
Derrick and Jorge had the most incredible rainy – and sunny! – wedding day at Beaver Lake Agroforest last October. The day was so much fun, everyone partied so hard (literally the power went out for a minute and everyone just kept singing Chappel Roan on their own), and I’m so obsessed with the wedding photos from that day. But before I show them? I’ve got to show these rad engagement photos! This shoot was so much fun – my cheeks literally hurt from laughing after we wrapped – and getting to know these two was so much fun. I loved every second.
Cannot wait to share these!

Engagement Photos at 8th Street Market in Bentonville
Two things about the shoot! First! When I chatted with Derrick and Jorge about their wedding I really, really wanted them to book me. They’re amazing and our phone call was so fun! So when their engagement session came around? I was so pumped!
Second! We planned to start our shoot at the Momentary. But when we got there? There was a HUGE event going on none of us knew anything about! I tried to sneak in with my camera but so much gear and no press pass made my sneak unsuccessful. So instead of starting at The Momentary? We popped on over to 8th Street Market and shot there the whole time instead! I love this cute corner of Bentonville – there’s fun walls, fun nature spots, and awesome lighting. Golden hour here is so good!! Love the urban vibes, love the garden shots, and love how much variety we were able to get at our engagement session.
Also? Totally obsessed with Derrick and Jorge’s shoes! These two had matching shoes for their engagement photos, matching wedding shoes, and even matching slides on their wedding day – which was perfect, because I absolutely made them wear their slides to walk over makeshift planks over mud on their wedding day. But! I’ll share more about that later! For now! Get ready to fall in love with these photos!
