Cinematic Senior Photographs in Northwest Arkansas on a Sunny August Morning
Morning and Happy Monday! Let’s start the week off right by sharing some absolutely darling cinematic senior photographs of Clare, a Fayetteville High School 2026 Senior! This was my first time ever where I photographed a senior currently attending the same school as one of my kids (my oldest son Max is a freshman at Fayetteville High!) and I’m not gonna lie: I think that made me love photographing Clare even more than I expected. And you know I was pumping her mom for high school parent advice, too! She even helped me learn how to navigate the parking lot, hahaha.
Senior sessions are always so much fun but, honestly, there’s something so freaking wonderful about senior shoots that take place in the first couple weeks of school. It’s almost like everything those first few weeks are already nostalgic – there’s a lot of “last firsts” that happen in the beginning of a school year – whether it’s the last first game of the football season or the last first time you have to figure out your schedule – and I think, because of this, it makes senior photographs extra sweet. And Clare’s photos! They were the absolute sweetest!

Nostalgic and Cozy Senior Photos in Fayetteville
For Clare’s cinematic senior photos, we met at Hail Fellow Well Met in Johnson (love that place!) a few weeks before her shoot and talked about what she envisioned for her photos. We wanted cinematic (obviously!), lots of different cozy light, neutral outfits, and lots of flowers, too! We shot at some of my very favorite locations – my favorite field off Lake Fayetteville and Mud Creek Trail, specifically – and used some small props – a bar stool, my fave lace curtain, a backyard bouquet – to really bring in an extra element of sweet + whimsical to her photographs. And the light? It showed up for us so hard!!
Clare, you’re amazing! Thank you so much for having me take your senior photographs! It was such a joy!
