Lissa Talks Print On Demand: A Print on Demand Limited Series Podcast

Lissa Talks Print on Demand: A Limited Series Podcast

Well! Y’know those people who can’t just do one thing?

I see we’ve met before!

Hahaha. But seriously! It went like this! I started my Cheers To You Series,  decided to re-launch Your Photographer Mom (literally obsessed with it) and then, one night, I found myself outlining a ten episode series for print on demand. And, y’all, it’s so freaking fun! Listen to the first episode below!

A Little More About Print on Demand!

I freaking love print on demand for so many reasons but, since I became involved with it, I noticed that most of the education + information about print on demand was solely about quitting your day job and making merch that didn’t really have any common threads or styles weaving through the designs. There’s nothing wrong with that but, as someone who’s worked in a creative field her whole adult life, I think that this kind of approach to a creative job is a little short sighted. Like, you want to create stuff that sells but also want to approach things with longevity. Which is why this podcast was born!

Also… yes. Yes I totally ended up doing this after guesting on How To Sell Your Stuff on Etsy. I hadn’t really thought much about it before but, after recording that episode, I really realized how much my mockups were tied to my print on demand work and how that tied into my overall creative approach to photography and all my creative work in general. This podcast has been so fun to record! I’m loving it!

Here’s What We Cover In The First Episode!

Is Print on Demand Right For You? In the first episode of this limited series, we’ll talk about:

My Creative Background

My Approach to Print on Demand

How to Know Print on Demand is the Right Fit for You

Wanna know this episode in one quote? I got you!

“This is a creative business. It is a fun thing to create and to make. Use it as a way to sell your own designs and your own artwork. Like, create your own creative voice… this is going to last longer in the long run… and your voice is going to get stronger with the more you create.”

Little Disclaimer!

In this episode, I talk about how Print on Demand is a great hobby for me. When I talk about print on demand as a hobby, keep in mind that it is still a business. While I do POD because it’s fun, creative, and relaxing, it’s part of my overall business model and definitely something I find so much joy in selling + sharing with others. // Follow the podcast + find out what’s next here!

Literally forever obsessed with Printify. I use Printify for all of my print on demand printing and I’ll never stop singing their praises. They’re incredible!  For design work, I’m totally in love with Canva and also love finding extra artwork + fonts on Creative Fabrica and Creative Market.  For photography, I shoot with a Canon R6 and most of my mockup photographs are taken with the 35L or 50L. I do all of my editing in Adobe Lightroom and have since 2011! It’s my jam!
