The Hue of You: Finding Your Editing Style | New Workshop at Click Photo School!

This past summer, Andrew and I took a road trip from Fayetteville to Nashville to Atlanta to Savannah. The boys were with their grandparents in Utah and, as we drove for hours, we listened to audiobooks and to music and joked around like two teenagers but, mostly, we talked about what I wanted to do with the future of my business. During these conversations where I basically spilled my guts out to my husband and my husband was, in turn, the greatest supporter of all time (get yourself an Andrew!), we decided on several things while sitting in our little brown Hyundai Tucson. The first decision was Opal and June. And the second big decision? It was this editing workshop!

In late 2013, I wrote my very first online workshop – The Hue of You! – and it was published on Clickin Moms in February 2014. A year later, I started work on a full, four week editing workshop but, when life turned crazy with our first year of consistent travel + moving into our first house, the workshop went on the back burner. Then, in 2017, I flirted with the workshop idea again but ultimately it wasn’t the right time. And this summer? I WENT FOR IT! I have been working on materials for this workshop for months – there’s going to be so many editing videos and the most fun PDFs and – and I’m so thrilled to help other photographers find the editing style that is 100% uniquely them. I feel so passionately that every photographer out there has their own unique voice and I’m honestly just super stoked to help people in their journey (not to sound like a Bachelor contestant) to own their editing style.

Here’s the official workshop blurb!

The Hue of You is a rad four week editing course where you will discover your editing style.

Using the Develop Mode and advanced techniques in Lightroom, you will learn how to create the images you truly want to create – not just the photographs you feel expected to take! By the end of the course, you will leave class feeling total ownership of your own unique editing style. If you are struggling to find your artistic voice, are going through a creative rut, or are feeling lost in a sea of photographers, The Hue of You (sidetone: yes!! I totally named this after my first course!) is the place to be! LET’S DO THIS!!

Registration for the workshop went live this morning! ENROLL HERE! Can’t wait to see you in class!
