Not even going to lie: I knew I’d like Mel the second I saw her artwork. It’s so fun and vibrant and just really creative and cheerful. I’m always so impressed when an artist can weave these things together with just the right pinch of quirk and, when I saw Mel’s work, I knew I needed to have her in this photo series! And y’all! She did not disappoint! I first met Mel when I walked into her home for her photoshoot and, when I walked out a couple hours later, we’d recorded our longest ever Our Favorite Villes podcast episode. So! Get snug! We’ve got a fun one today!

More About Mel of Melspace Creative in Rogers, Arkansas

Mel lives in Northwest Arkansas with her husband and her adorable guard dog of a pup, Tortellini. Mel fell in love with rug tufting in 2021 and creates bold, colorful, and maximalist designs. Her work is so fun, unique, and charming! From food to custom pet portraits to abstract squiggly designs, Mel’s work is so perfect for the fun at heart. I fell in love with her work immediately and know you will, too!

Also her office? It’s such a crafting + nostalgic dream! The decor! The green couch! The creativity! Obsessed.
