Sydney in a Pink Glitter Dress | Fun, Simple, and Glam Wedding Photos in Arkansas!

Sydney in a Pink Glitter Dress

I have such a fun – and simple! – editorial shoot for y’all today!

But FIRST! How gorgeous are these Whole Foods flowers?! I’m always grabbing Whole Foods flowers so that I can pretend to be a florist but these ones below are, hands down, some of my very favorite flowers I’ve ever come across. So gorgeous and so free spirited and so freaking colorful, too!

Every few years, I have a year where I carve out extra time to try and really hone my photographs into the exact direction I want to head towards. It’s funny – I thought this was something I’d have to do once or twice when I first started shooting and that then everything would just evolve but, the longer I shoot, the more intentional and picky I become. The good news, though, is that I know exactly what I want people to feel when they see my photographs. And today? I’m putting it in writing! Here’s the goal for every photo!

First! I just want people to feel really, really happy.

Second! Y’know that feeling when you open a huge box of crayons for the very first time and you feel an explosion of color and hope and anticipation? That’s exactly how I want my photographs to feel.

Which brings me to this past May! I did a ton of editorial shoots this year – like, so many it has led me to open a styled shoot shop! – and I did this for one specific reason: I wanted my photographs to feel like an explosion of color in all kinds of situations and locations. Hotel verandas! Fields! Overlooks! Victorian houses! Southern mansions! Barns! Greenhouses! It doesn’t matter where the photographs are taken or even what the subject matter is – I just want to create photographs that make people feel freaking happy. And a few weeks before Sydney married Jared? I put her in the most glitzy dress, drove her to Prairie Grove, and plopped her in the sunniest and simplest orchard and field. I love the color in these, can’t get over the light, and I just love how fancy Sydney’s dress is (rent it here!) in such a laidback, country setting.

Sydney, you are STUNNING! Love these so much!
