Tutorials on Clickin Moms! | Photography Mentoring

For the past year and a half, I have been writing tutorials on Clickin’ Moms like a madwoman.

I like writing tutorials because I love talking about photography and I also like writing them because it’s fun and because it’s helpful and because, when I was starting out, I was the most clueless photographer on the face of the planet. Really. I had no idea about anything and, having no photography friends, I just kind of stumbled along until I (magically!) found my footing. So! Aside from having a great time writing the tutorials, I just really like the idea that somewhere out there there’s a photographer who just needs a bit of an extra push to step up their game, even if their game is absurdly good already. I love that so many people love photography and, because I love photography so much, I want everyone to be the best photographers they can be. Otherwise it’s kind of a waste of time, right? Photography is magic!

I’ve written a ton of tutorials over the past eighteen months – I wrote my very first one in September 2013 – and they’re all about so many different topics but, today, I thought it would be fun to link to a few of my favorite tutorials that I’ve written on Clickin’ Moms. You do need to be a member of Clickin’ Moms to view these tutorials but, honestly, Clickin’ Moms was one of the very most important investments I ever made in my photography career and all of y’all should be members on there already. And if not, you can join here!

There are thousands of tutorials on Clickin’ Moms so the babies listed below aren’t even the very tip of the iceberg – they’re like very tip tip top of the very smallest part of the top of the iceberg, if even that.

But! Back to those tutorials! Here’s a few of my favorites from the past year and a half! I had so much fun writing all of these and I am so excited to have them linked from my blog – it’s kind of like intertwining my website with my online photography home and I absolutely love that.

Here they are!

Hopefully those tutorials are helpful to some of y’all! I do plan on sharing more tutorials on my blog – mostly short articles with three quick tips – every month or so this year but the majority of my tutorials will stay on Clickin’ Moms. I’d love to see you there!

Also, yes! All of the photographs in this post are from 2013. I had to celebrate Throwback Thursday somehow, right?
