Awesome Engagement Photographs in Fayetteville | Kaitlyn and Kale!

I have been dying to share this engagement session!

Kaitlyn and Kale are an awesome couple. Kaitlyn is one of those girls that is so easy to talk with + bond with in five minutes and Kale is so easy going and nice. And if you don’t believe me right off the bat that these two are an amazing couple? Here’s a story about them that I totally love!

Kaitlyn and Kale dated long distance for a few years and, one Valentine’s Day, the two of them met in Oklahoma City for a fancy night out. Kaitlyn was dressed to the nines and they had dinner reservations and all the makings of an incredible night out. And when they got to their hotel in OKC? They looked at one another, decided they were exhausted, cancelled their dinner reservation, and settled in for a night of pajamas, cereal, and wine. I love so much that they did this because one: it’s adorable and two: Andrew and I would totally make this decision, too.

I’m so lucky to be the wedding photographer of such a loving, laid back and fun couple, y’all!

So thrilled for everyone to (finally!) meet them today on the blog today!

We started our session on a magic street south of the University and, as we shot, the sky got progressively darker. I don’t meant that it got darker in a sunset kind of a way – I mean that it got darker in there’s-a-crazy-Arkansas-storm-coming kind of way. No storm ever came but, when I got home that night, I found out that it rained so hard in Bentonville that Crystal Bridges flooded. I couldn’t believe it and still can’t believe we were able to shoot all of Kaitlyn and Kale’s engagement session in Fayetteville without more than one or two drops of rain.

Also, I love the colors in the next set of photographs. Way to be adorable, y’all!

After taking a few field photographs, we headed to the woods where we took some of my favorite engagement photographs of my entire life. Kaitlyn loves photographs with moody lighting (me too!!) and I am so glad that we were able to create these unique images in one of my favorite locations.

Seriously. I love these and love that Kaitlyn and Kale were up for them.

We shot in the woods until the sun went down and then made our way up to a street lamp once it was dark. I love this next set of photographs so much – I die over the movement in Kaitlyn’s gorgeous skirt! – and I feel so lucky that I was given the opportunity to be able to capture so many incredible moods (and colors!) in one engagement gallery.

Kaitlyn and Kale, y’all are amazing. I cannot wait for your winter wedding at St. Catherine’s!
