Photographing Stephanie was SO much fun.
I have wanted to photograph a bride in a greenhouse for years- probably since 2011- but it just seemed kind of scary to me. In 2013, I finally gathered up the courage to photograph a senior in a greenhouse and, earlier this year, I mustered up my courage and photographed a couple in a greenhouse, too (which you can actually see me shoot in my breakout The Hue of You!). But! For some reason, photographing a bride in a greenhouse seemed a little intimidating. I am not afraid of taking photographs in unexpected places, obviously, but something about photographing amidst a ton of plants felt… loud. Loud and Boisterous.
So! Being the photographer that I am, I finally talked myself into setting up a session, placed a model call (the same model call Charclee’s bridal session came from), and, when I saw Stephanie’s photograph and dress, I squealed. She was perfect! I had such a blast with Stephanie at this shoot- can you believe that she has been married five years?! I still can’t! – and am just over the moon with how these photographs turned out. Stephanie is the sweetest and she brought her best friend to our session which made the session even more relaxed and enjoyable. And even better? I brought one of my friends, too! (She shot some film and it was amazing!) So, basically, I’m saying we went all out and had an awesome time taking photographs in a greenhouse on the very last day of April.

MY goodness these are BREAThtaking!!!! i am interested in getting my senior photos done in a greenhouse and i was wondering if you compensated the owner whose greenhouses you shot in? if you would recommend doing so, do you have any suggestions as to what is best? 🙂 thanks!
