Three Things I Loved About Elizabeth and Marcus’ Celebration of a Wedding | Chapel on the Creeks + Fairlane Station, Too!

Wedding at Chapel on the Creek and Fairlane Station

It’s nearly midnight and we just wrapped Kaitlin and Jon’s super dreamy spring wedding at Chapel on the Creeks and 21c in Bentonville! But tonight on the blog? Let’s rewind back to mid-July when Elizabeth and Marcus tied the knot at Chapel on the Creeks and celebrated at Fairlane Station!

Not going to lie – after an insane summer of traveling + starting Opal and June and the super exciting surprise of Poppy’s pregnancy, I thought really hard about cancelling this series but, at the end of the day, I just really don’t want to. I love it too much! So! Today may be seven months after the usual time I’d post this series but – hey! – better late than never right? Here we go!!

Summer Wedding in Northwest Arkansas

Elizabeth and Marcus have one of those whirlwind love stories where they met and fell in love super quickly and, the first time we ever talked on the phone, Elizabeth and I talked about how crazy a whirlwind love story is (Andrew and I had the same!) and, y’all, I don’t know if I’ve ever seen two people more giddy in love. These two are so happy, so full of joy, and just so in love with each other and life. Spending their wedding day with them was incredible! Here’s three things I loved about their day!

One: This Sweet Note Exchange

Elizabeth and Marcus chose to forego a traditional First Look and, instead, exchanged notes while sitting back to back on the most beautiful stone bench at Chapel on the Creeks. Marcus cried (yeah!!), Elizabeth bawled and laughed (sometimes at the same time!) and Elizabeth’s bridesmaids looked on and cried, too. This was such a sweet moment for so many different people and I couldn’t help but laugh when Marcus asked Elizabeth if he could PLEASE turn around and see her. Elizabeth held strong and said no! Ha!

P.S. After the note exchange, Elizabeth asked her bridesmaids how Marcus looked and, before they could answer, she laughed and said “He looked hot on Friday so I know he’ll look hot today!” and it was awesome.

Two: The Ceremony Window Light

If y’all know me, you know that I love interesting light and the light at Elizabeth and Marcus’ wedding was straight out of a movie. The light enveloped both Elizabeth and Marcus in the most dreamy haze and, y’all, it was absolutely beautiful. We couldn’t have asked for it to be better!

Three: The Dance Party!

I love so many things about weddings but I’m a total sucker for outdoor summer receptions and rad dance parties, too! And Elizabeth and Marcus? They had both! Their guests seriously had so much fun during the reception – there was even a bouncy house for all the kids! – and photographing this party of a reception was an absolute blast! Weddings should be a celebration, y’all!
