Grace is a 2016 Senior at Bentonville High School and she is a such a terrific girl: She is funny and a crazy talented singer and super smart and sassy and super fun to be around (if I were in high school, I would totally want Grace to be one of my very best friends!) and, then, as a cherry on top of her other a-mazing personality traits, Grace is just a little bit quirky.
I love that about Grace! She is such a brilliant person and, despite all of her awesome accomplishments, she doesn’t take herself too seriously – she just kind of rolls with the punches and makes jokes while doing so. This girl is FUN! Grace’s Senior Session was a long time coming – back in November 2014, I photographed her at Carrie and Mitchell’s wedding rummaging through a stack of blankets and I thought “That girl is totally my style!” – and, after her friend Alyssa became one of my Senior Models, Grace booked her Senior Session way back when she was still a Junior. And her session? It was totally worth the wait!
(Sidenote: Remember how I just mentioned that Grace scheduled her session way in advance? She’s not the only one! My 2016 Spring calendar is getting real full real fast so, if you’re a 2016 Senior, do not wait to get your session on the spring books!)
One of my favorite parts of Grace’s Senior Session went like this: In her questionnaire, she mentioned that she loved fake flowers so, two days before her session, I found myself standing in the middle of the artificial flower aisle of Wal-Mart with my mother-in-law and I just started throwing fake roses in the cart. I don’t want to brag or anything, but I nearly took all of the fake roses with no idea what I was going to do with them. Lucky for me, the roses plopped right off the stem and, at Grace’s session, we had SO much fun throwing the roses around in a little field and I think we laughed the entire time that we had the roses out because there were basically a zillion of them. And photographing Grace in them? It was SO much fun! I loved it and I loved this session!! Meet Grace, y’all! You’re going to love her!
