Five Photographs From Last Week | Fayetteville Arkansas Photographer

The past few months have been such a whirlwind.

Actually, can I say cyclone instead of whirlwind? Like, is that an acceptable thing to say about your life? I mean, they’re basically the same thing but “whirlwind” sounds a lot nicer than “cyclone” but I think I love “cyclone” more. It sounds crazier than whirlwind and the past few months have been just that – crazy. This year has been so full of chaos and fun and love and running back and forth like a madwoman (in an insanely good way!) and I know that it’s the cheesiest comment ever but I’m sitting here at the end of October squealing “Where did the time go?!” because it did! The time flew by just like it does when a fat baby turns into a skinny, super loved five year old (I’m looking at you, Maximillian) and I just have no idea where it went. Shouldn’t it still be spring? Life for the Chandlers has been crazy since February and we have loved every second.

And on Saturday? Andrew and I shot our very last wedding of the 2015 wedding season!

I still have a small wedding on the books for December (that I am so excited about!) but, since that’s technically my off season, I’m calling it: My 2015 wedding season is over and it was the most glorious wedding season of all wedding seasons ever. It was SO good. I have worked with so many amazing people this year – amazing and kind and funny and awesome brides and grooms and families – and I just can’t believe how fast everything rushed by me this year. How is it nearly November? Where did all that time go?!

So! Because I am months behind on blogging (you think I’m joking but I’m totally telling the truth!), I thought it would be fun share a few photographs from my sessions last week! I titled this post “Five Photographs From Last Week” but, let’s be honest – I’m totally going to share more than that. Here they are!!

Last Sunday, I photographed Katie and Drew’s ridiculously gorgeous fall wedding at Creekwood Gardens. Katie is the funniest girl I have ever met in my life and Drew is the kind of person you automatically want to be friends with as soon as you meet him and their wedding was so full of love. Also, Katie walked down the aisle chewing gum (which I think is so cute! She was SO excited to get married she didn’t even notice!) and, even though it was not noticeable whatsoever, I think that it was super adorable that she was so gung-ho to marry Drew that she didn’t even think to spit it out before the ceremony. This girl radiates life!

On Tuesday, I got to photograph Valerie. Valerie is an adorable (ADORABLE) high school Senior from Jonesboro and I am so glad that she decided to drive all the way out here for her Senior Photographs. Valerie is absolutely hilarious and vivacious and, the minute she showed me the outfit that she brought along for her super cute pug, I knew that I loved her. Who doesn’t want to dress a puppy in a sweater?! And yes! You’ll have to wait for her full blog post to see those!

On Wednesday, I got to photograph Canem and her beautiful family. I have been photographing Canem and her awesome boys in their home for the past three years and, the more I photograph them, the more I just think they are the absolute best. Canem and Michael are spectacular people and, on top of that, they literally make the cutest babies who have ever lived. Don’t believe me? Meet their youngest!

Then! On Thursday! I was lucky enough to photograph Abbie. Abbie is a super chill aspiring High School Senior Photographer in Fort Smith and it was crazy fun to get to photograph her + talk about photography with her while I was photographing her session. She is such an awesome girl and I loved exploring downtown Fayetteville with her and her mom. We had a blast!

And on Saturday? I got to photograph the most beautiful wedding at the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis. The bride, Amanda, and I met on the very first day of seventh grade in our homeroom class and, all growing up, our lockers were right next to each other. Yep! From the first day of seventh grade to the last day of Senior Year, this beauty had to put up with me + my crazy tendency to share my locker with my best friend, Brittney, and, once, when Amanda broke her foot our Senior Year, I accidentally kicked her in the foot when we were goofing off. With her brace on. Because I am super smart all of the time.

But! Luckily for me! She forgot that I once kicked her in the broken foot and I got to photograph her AMAZING wedding this past weekend. Amanda is the such a fun, lively, and lovely woman and I am so thrilled for her and her new husband, Casey! These two lovebirds live in New York City and they are gorgeous together. And after knowing Casey for one day? I can say that he is the perfect match for Amanda. I’m so excited for both of them to start their life together – also jealous of the fact that they are going to Bali for their honeymoon. They are going to have so much fun!

And Bonus! Here’s a couple from Ashley’s post-wedding bridal session last night. I LOVE Ashley – seriously, she’s one of the most fun girls I have ever met in my entire life + she is super sassy and hilarious – and I loved her bridal session. This girl shines!!

And that’s a wrap on this blog post! I have so many wonderful photographs (and blog posts!) to share with y’all and, now that my crazy busy season is coming to a close, I am just so thrilled to relax a bit, pump out a ton of weddings and sessions that have queued up over the past few months, and share so much with y’all on here. I’m also real excited to slow down a bit and cook dinner for my family every night and hang out with my kids and husband more because, well, they are the most awesome human beings on the planet. This season of bouquets and fancy dresses and love – SO much love – has been so incredible and I just wanted to give a huge shoutout to all of you who have supported me and trusted me with your weddings. I cannot say thank you enough! Here’s to an awesome 2015 full of sessions and love and weddings and happiness and an awesome off season full of days where I wear pajamas all day and force my kids to hang out with me from the time they get up to the time they go to bed at night. Because those two boys? They have no idea what’s about to hit them now that their mama has some free time on her hands. #bestiesforlife #theyjustdontknowit #tryingrealhardnottoturnthemintobusterbluthsbuttheyrejustsodarncute
