I don’t really think there’s anything I love more than a newborn baby.
All of my friends and family members will tell you this: I live in a perpetual state of baby fever and have for basically my entire adult life. I LOVE babies. I love the way they smell and the way they snuggle and I love the way that they’re so small and have the whole world all ahead of them and I love swaddling them and feeding them and hanging out with them non-stop and, basically, I would have a baby every single year if I could. So! When Clint and Harmony emailed me about photographing their newborn baby, y’all know I had to squeal say, “YES!!” because, obviously, there was a baby involved + Clint and Harmony are awesome people.
And their baby? Their baby is the sweetest – and the luckiest, too!
I love photographing newborns in their homes in their normal environments. I love photographing them in their nurseries and in their parents’ bedrooms and in the blankets that their parents swaddle them in every single morning. I love the realness of lifestyle newborn photography – the way that those photographs reflect not just the newborn baby but the whole feel of life at that time. I’m so lucky to have the most wonderful kids and, because of them, I know from experience that those first few weeks are crazy and incredibly emotional and also kind of scary but they are also the most beautiful weeks ever and I love being able to capture this amazing time for new parents. I just love it and I adored photographing little LC in the home his family has created for him. And his home? It is the best! Harmony is one of the sweetest and most genuine people I have ever met and, as soon as you walk into her and Clint’s house, you can’t help but feel touched (and welcomed!) by the whole spirit in their house – they have such a happy, blissful home and being able to photograph these three right after LC was born was just such a privilege. I have loved getting to know this amazing family over the past few months! LC definitely won the parent lottery and I am just so thrilled for these three to have one another. They are in for such a crazy – and fun! and busy! and hilarious! – time!
So! Before I gush to embarrassing proportions (which I may have done already!), here are Harmony, Clint, and their newborn babe! They are the best and I loved photographing this sweet family of three!
