Some of y’all may remember photos of another dancer (also named Courtney!) that were taken at Gulley Park in Fayetteville a few weeks ago. Well! I wasn’t kidding around when I said that Kim of Kimberly Hicks Photography was putting together a beautiful lineup of dancers. I’m so excited to share this second installment!
Courtney is a gorgeous and talented dancer who has been dancing in circles ever since she was a little girl. Courtney’s love of dance was so evident in the way that she held herself and in her facial expressions when she thought no one was looking and it was a wonderful experience photographing her. Kim and I had anticipated rain during the shoot, but instead we ended up with a cloudy, beautiful afternoon. This shoot was a blast! Since this was for a creative project and not for my typical client work, I tried out some matte processing on these that I don’t typically do. I’m not sure whether I’ll start incorporating it into my normal editing routine, but I LOVE how the processing in these photos turned out and I just adore these photographs. A huge thanks to Kim for inviting me along of to Courtney for being incredibly fun to photographs!
