Three Things I Loved | Sarah and Tony’s Romantic Wedding Day at the Ravington

Hey friends! It’s been a hot minute (okay, a year) since I’ve shared a Three Things I Loved blog series but, today, I’m going for it! Honestly, when 2020 struck and I was suddenly home full time with three kids, I thought I was going to retire this series but, now that things are getting better, I am super stoked to grab some amazing weddings from the archive and brag on how amazing + creative all my couples are!

Get ready for a sneak into Sarah and Tony’s wedding day! They are so fun!!

One: The Post-Ceremony Sparkler Exit (at Dusk!)

Most often, couples do their sparkler exit (or any exit!) at the end of the night.

Of course, this totally makes sense. It’s so fun and it’s the end of the party! Did you know, though, that dusk is the most amazing light for sparklers? It’s dark enough for the sparklers to show up but light enough for the photographs to be super, super dreamy. I’m obsessed with these and all the pink + purple dusk tones we got during Sarah and Tony’s ceremony exit! It was such a gorgeous moment!

Two: The Romantic Reception Design

My sweet friend Alex of Poppi Pepper brought in the most romantic old world feel to Sarah and Tony’s reception space. The deep reds, brass details, and long taper candles were so romantic and fun. They worked perfect in the Ravington’s beautiful space – those reds with those bricks!! – and the cookies from Rick’s Bakery sure didn’t hurt, either. Their space felt so luxe and I loved it!

Three: The Cute LOVE Balloons!

If you know me, you know I love a good party. And if you know me even more, you know I’m a sucker for balloons. Like, I can make a balloon arch without looking up any tutorials and I know exactly how many balloons I can fit into my car. Cheesy? Maybe! BUT! These balloons!! They were the perfect spot to snap a fun photo and the perfect backdrop for Sarah and Tony’s cake cutting + little dance party after. Basically, if in doubt, get the balloons! You’ll love ’em and your guests will, too!

P.S. Sarah and Tony’s first dance was to Beyonce’s “Love on Top” and it was perfect.
