Back in November, I posted a Casting Call on my Facebook Page and, lucky for me, Courtney was one of the girls who responded to my “Crazy in LOVE couple!” post. We picked a date (early January!) and, as bizarre luck would have it, I had to postpone the session by a few weeks when our car ended up in the shop in Lee’s Summit, Missouri for nearly forty eight hours while we laid around my parents’ house and ate leftover Christmas candy and played Farkle and watched movies and went through old photographs for two days (this was actually pretty awesome even though all our luggage was packed).
Then! A week before our rescheduled session! I opened up a message from Sean about a surprise proposal and I responded with basically one word: “YES!!” and then excitedly told my husband all about it as soon as he got home from work. I mean, honestly, is there a better way to surprise your girlfriend with a proposal than surprising her during an activity she set up herself? I think no! Sean is a genius!!
And even better? These two are, like, the most adorable couple ever. They are so happy and so in love and so compatible and kind that they just make total sense the very first time you meet them. I loved being welcomed into their home (and one of the biggest days of their lives!) to take these photographs and it was a total joy to get to know these two, especially since I was inwardly jumping up and down wondering when Sean was going to pop the question.
