Do any of y’all remember Madison?
Madison is, hands down, one of the smartest and sweetest people I have ever met. The first time we met, I was absolutely blown away by how articulate she was. I know that sounds ridiculous, but this girl just sounds downright classy in, like, everything she does. She is so great! Plus, she let me photographer her in four inches of green water in the driest summer of my life (last summer!). And those photographs? They wound up published nationally and in Click magazine this month (my first two-page magazine spread!) and, for that, she will always be one of my favorites. That and she is just super awesome.
And one of the many amazing things she has done?
She put together a beauty pageant to raise awareness on children who are bullied. Her organization is called SHINE – Bullying Prevention and, because she is such a passionate person, I know she is going to do amazing things with this.
Which brings me to this post! When Madison asked me if I could donate a session to the title winners of her Miss Belle pageant, I was totally down. There’s nothing I like more than seeing people spread hope and love and good vibes around so, when Madison asked, I said “Absolutely!”. And I’m so glad I did!
The Little Miss Belle winner was named Laken and she was the cutest! Look at her sweet face!
This was Laken’s fifth pageant title (amazing, right?) and she was such a joy to photograph. She laughed through our whole session and was just so excited to be photographed. I loved her!
Miss Belle was none other than Peri Hester. Isn’t she gorgeous?!
This was Peri’s very first pageant and I just loved getting to know her and her amazing mom (both winners had amazing mothers!) and I just had a blast photographing her. I’m so excited to share these with y’all today!
