Fayetteville Arkansas Wedding Photographer | Jordan and Daniel

Right before Christmas, I got to photograph Jordan and Daniel in a sinkhole and it was glorious.

I mean, I may be using the term “sinkhole” a little too generously but, if I’m being totally honest, this session was shot in a little patch of a field that reminded me of a sinkhole that my brothers used to play in when we were growing up. That sinkhole also included access to a sewer and, even though my mother would threaten them up and down with consequences if they went and played there, my brothers would sneak off there all of the time when we were little. And the worst part? They left me out! I’d get so mad when they ran off there for adventures and not let me in on them! I guess that’s what happens when you’re a girl with two older brothers and you’re all relatively close to the same age, though – they leave you to play with dolls and cover for them while they play in sinkholes. Brothers, man. They can be such sassafrasses.

But! I digress! This blog post is not about the fact that my brothers used to ditch me to party in a sinkhole – this post is about Jordan and Daniel and how they are super classy even when they are photographed in a sinkhole. Jordan and Daniel responded to a Casting Call I posted back in late November and, when I saw Jordan’s message come through, I was sold. A the time, I was looking for a few models for a secret project (which was announced earlier this week!) and I’m so glad that these two were game to be photographed – especially on such a dreary morning! For the session, Jordan made her own (adorable!) flower crown and brought the cutest ASOS dress and, basically, these two are just the cutest. Jordan and Daniel have a one year old daughter (who, according to what I’ve seen on Instagram, is one of the cutest babies ever!) and it was so fun photographing them and talking about parenthood and basically just hanging out while I photographed them. Their photographs turned out so dreamy and slightly moody and sweet and, also, this session taught me that I need to use my 85L way more than I usually do because my favorite photographs from this session were all taken with my 85. The bokeh on that lens just can’t be beat!

Here are Jordan and Daniel, y’all! I love these photographs!
