“When in doubt, get the burger.”
My husband said this to me on one of our very first dates and it soon became one of the very first catchphrases of our relationship (followed closely by “I’m the funniest!”, naturally). My husband loves himself a good hamburger. I mean, sure. He loves pizza. He loves tacos. He loves sandwiches. But burgers? He’s obsessed. He would drive three hours just for a good burger- I don’t think he has, but he definitely would. And ever since we moved to Fayetteville? The man has been on the hunt! He has been searching for the best burger in Northwest Arkansas and, this afternoon, he swears he found it.
Everyone, meet The Burger Patti:
The Burger Patti is on Wedington Drive in Fayetteville and we have driven past it countless times. “Let’s go there!” my husband will say and, since I am a stinker when it comes to restaurants and get nervous to try new places, I typically say, “Maybe later!” and we go somewhere we’ve been five hundred times before.
But today! When my husband wanted to take his cute mom to the Green Submarine, I pulled a fast one and said, “Andrew! Let’s go to the Burger Patti instead!” since it’s right next door and Andrew has been asking me to go there for half a year. Not one to hesitate when I suggest trying new restaurants, we were seated at The Burger Patti ten minutes later and, despite the fact that our kids threw a fast tantrum when we sat down (sorry, guys!), we had a blast. And my husband? He is so thrilled with their burgers and so in love with them that and, in two months, every cashier at The Burger Patti will have our family of four’s order memorized.
And best of all?! I took some photographs! Here they are!
Sidenote: I know. My kids are the cutest.
