Today is the last day that I blog images from my workshop with Julie Paisley Photography.
I am kind of sad about this! As I’ve said before, Julie’s workshop was a great experience. If you are thinking about taking one of her workshops, take it! I came across Julie’s workshops unexpectedly- a few weeks before her workshop, I browsed her website, saw that there was a last minute opening and, before I knew it, I was signed up and ready to attend. I was super excited about this but also a little nervous- I am not a beginner photographer in any sense of the word and, because of this, I was a little nervous that a workshop wouldn’t be the best fit for me. I had never been to one, though, and thought it would be an amazing way to jumpstart my wedding season, so I went for it. I’m so glad I did! While Julie’s workshop could be taken by a budding photographer, I came away with some great ideas for my business and felt refreshed and excited about my work after the workshop. I mean, I’ll be honest, I am always excited about photography and the most passionate photographer you will ever meet but, sometimes, it’s just so wonderful- comforting even- to sit back for a couple of days and just listen to another photographer speak about their photography, their journey, and what works for them. I am completely self taught, so this workshop was my very first. But! It definitely won’t be my last! I now have a goal to go to at least one in-person a workshop every year because, well, it’s totally moving to hear about someone else’s work- especially when their whole heart is in it (and Julie’s heart is definitely in hers!).

So! Last up! I’m about to share some of the cutest images. This ridiculously cute couple just added a poodle puppy to their family and it was so much fun to photograph them with their puppy while wearing their wedding clothes. It was absolutely freezing when we took these but I still loved every second! Thanks so much Julie for a wonderful workshop experience! And thanks Mandy (a fellow workshop attendee!) for finding such a cute couple to photograph! They were the sweetest!
