✨ This LR editing workshop is focused on YOU. This isn’t the kind of course where I tell you exactly what you should do all of the time. Instead, it’s one where I constantly ask questions about what you like + give you advice on how we can blend those likes + dislikes into your work.
✨ This class is about editing but, even better, we talk so much about how to marry your shooting and editing style to create photographs that feel like you. Notice a theme? Me too! This class is all about creating the work YOU want to create.
✨ Y’know that pressing feeling where you feel like you have to create work in one specific style? The kind of feeling where you double (or triple!) check all your decisions? That’s not what this workshop is about. Forget about numbers and creating images in a “right” way - we are going to talk about what feels best to you instead!

Last spring, I decided to add some photographer shirts to @opalandjune for the heck of it and here I am a year later: making totally over the top 90s inspired chicken tee shirts + shooting 70s inspired product photographs in my home office. And honestly? It’s really freaking fun. Life’s short! Make the shirt. 💕

About a year ago, I decided to put a pin on social

About a year ago, I decided to put a pin on social media and decided to try out other forms of art. I was still shooting, of course, but instead of blogging + posting (and, honestly, hustling lol) like I used to, I took that time to try out other forms of art / try a few creative things I’d seen online that I wanted to teach myself.

Honestly, this started with gardening + flower arranging back in 2020 - growing flowers opened up a whole new realm of creative possibilities! - and, in 2022, I spent a few weeks creating + self publishing planners for creatives that were really freaking fun. And they sold!
.
After that, I decided to make my kids cute custom gifts for Valentine’s from @printify and, because that was fun, I decided to teach myself how to design t-shirts. I LOVED making shirts when I was a teenager so I should have known I was about to go into a rabbit hole but I absolutely did and it was a freaking blast. I’ve sold like 600+ shirts in the past year and a whole lotta puzzles and it’s SO fun.

Next, I tried weaving and so far it’s not really for me but I’ll probably try it again with different yarn to be sure. Tonight, my mom and I just finished a six week pottery class at @communitycreativecenter and y’all, I love it so much and I’m so bad at it. Like, truly terrible and there’s something freaking amazing about that. It’s so fun!

I’m about to start another pottery class next week and, later this year, I plan to try watercolors, floral still life photography, and either soap making, basket weaving, or punch needle art. So! If you are on the fence about trying new stuff - whether you’re super creative or feel totally uncreative - let me be the one to tell you this. TRY. IT. Just go for it! Worst case? You hate it. Best case? You adore it! Go out there and make stuff! 💕

P.S. This photo? Really doesn’t have to do with anything but I took it this afternoon + put this shirt design on it because it’s so ridiculous and always make me smile, lol.
