Woo! The last few weeks have been CRAZY. From Max getting hit in the face by a flying plastic shovel at recess (still not totally sure how that happened!) to the worst spring colds to visiting with family here in Fayetteville to traveling to see family in Kansas City to a whole new slew of wedding consultations (hooray!) to Andrew working, like, eighty hour weeks lately, I’ve totally neglected this blog – and totally gotten behind on emails and all social media, too. So! If you’re waiting on a response from me over email or Facebook or Instagram, it’ll be coming at you early next week. My busy season officially picks back up today – I have four engagement sessions and two senior sessions between now and next Friday (!!!) – and I am so thrilled for it. This year is going to be beautiful!
BUT. That’s not what this blog post is about. This blog post is about Kate and Zack and how they are incredible and awesome and super fun to be around, too.
I first met Kate when she was a bridesmaid at Jamie and John’s wedding at the University of Arkansas last July and, as soon as I heard from her that she was engaged, I was super excited. Kate is awesome. Like, at her engagement session we talked about mobsters and weird history and TV shows like Making a Murderer and, while that may not sound super awesome for everyone, Kate, Zack, and I sure had a ton of fun talking about crazy stories. I mean, who doesn’t like weird history and documentaries?! I love it! These two are so much fun to be around!
So! A little more about these two: Kate and Zack met at an ugly sweater party when Kate was a senior in high school. Kate wore an ugly vest with a french braid hairdo and Zack wore a pink button up with fur and, if that’s not the best meet cute for an awesome (and super fun!) couple, I don’t know what else is. I had the best time with Kate and Zack at their engagement session and I cannot wait for their wedding in June. It is going to be so wonderful!! Meet Kate and Zack, y’all! You’ll love them!

Early spring showed off for us super hard during Kate and Zack’s engagement session and I totally made them stand underneath this tree for, like, ten minutes to make sure their photographs felt like springtime. Fayetteville Square is the cutest!!
After a quick outfit change, we headed to the opposite side of the Square. I used the wall below as the location for my very first session in Fayetteville back in 2011 and, every time I shoot next to it, I can’t help but be surprised that we’ve been living here for nearly five years. We love this town!
I mean, seriously! These two are the cutest!! Also, Zack’s fake laugh game is super strong.
