April and Her Boys | Fayetteville Family Photographer

Back in December, I got to photograph April and her boys and their session was adorable.

April is an up-and-coming photographer in Fayetteville – you can find her over at The Freckled Fox! – and, when I got to April’s house for her family’s session, I was the biggest hot mess of all of the hot messes out there. I’d just finished the longest editing bender of my life and, as soon as I walked in, I started talking at a crazy pace about photography and editing and how my eyes were most likely going to fall out during our session because they had been blinded by computer light (ha!). April’s session was the second to last session that I shot with Kristen Grisham for my Clickin Moms Behind the Scenes Breakout and, bad jokes about going blind excluded, our session was so much fun! April has the sweetest family ever and she and her husband adore their sweet little boy so much and they were a dream to photograph – and I say that as a grump who had only slept three hours the night before!

Also! I haven’t mentioned this to April (hi, April!) but April works at Mertin’s Eye Care and I am 98% positive that she helped me pick out my computer glasses last year way before her family session ever took place. The glasses are amazing (seafoam green and huge circles!) and, basically, if y’all need glasses, all of y’all should go see April because her taste in glasses is totally on point – and quirky, too!

April’s husband Travis was a professional basketball player so naturally Oliver loves baseball instead. Right after these were taken, he hit a ball so hard it landed on the roof! And he’s only THREE!

We ended the session at a patch of trees right off of Rupple Road and the end of sunset was to die for. I love all of these photographs so much! Thanks for being so wonderful to photograph, y’all!
