Our Trip to San Francisco! | Part One.

Lately, we’ve been celebrating brides and seniors and weddings and love and cute photographs of my kids.

And today! We are celebrating San Francisco!

A month ago, my boys and I loaded a plane with strollers and Spider-Man water bottles and goldfish and iPads filled with Frozen and Jake and the Neverland Pirates and Toy Story and Jurassic Park and, eight hours later, we arrived in San Francisco. We love to travel! Andrew’s parents (his mom, specifically) is the best traveler in the world and, this time around, we stayed in a one hundred year old house with crooked floors and wavy glass windows and blooming flower bushes outside of every single window. I have always wanted to visit San Francisco and, when there, I fell totally in love with it. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when we walked off the plane, but I was so surprised by the way the city was laid out – as a Southern / Mid-Western girl, I still can’t get over that most of the houses had no yards – and I was also surprised by how much it reminded me of New Orleans, even though they are totally different cities with totally different weather patterns in totally different parts of the country. Some of the houses looked so similar, though! This city was so gorgeous!!

We spent the first two days of our trip without Andrew and, before he joined us, we went all over the city. We saw Sea Lions and rode busses (Henry’s favorite part, obviously) and explored a fake rain forest and ran around an aquarium (Henry’s other favorite part) and Japanese Tea Gardens and made tie dye t-shirts (Max’s favorite part!) and just spent a ton of time walking around seeing new sights and trying new restaurants and, if I could, I would visit San Francisco every year. Here’s some photographs from the first few days of our family trip! And a huge shoutout to Mom and Dad C. who love taking their family on all kinds of vacations all over the world. Y’all are awesome.

And Bonus! Here’s Maxwell rocking his very favorite shirt:
