I absolutely loved being able to photograph sweet little Kate.
There’s something so wonderful about photographing a newborn. While I am definitely not a studio newborn photographer- I do not pose babies heavily (I don’t even own a bean bag!) and mostly focus on their natural surroundings and the amazing bond they already have with their family- and, as such, am not a traditional newborn photographer, I just cannot get enough of photographing newborns. Maybe it’s because they’re not my specialty and, three years in, they’re still a bit of a novelty since I spend most of my time photographing seniors and weddings but, to tell you the truth, I squeal like crazy whenever I book a newborn session. Babies are like seven pounds of pure love and the cutest subjects ever- what’s not to love about that?!
Which brings me back to Kate. Her mom, Laine, has been best friends with Brittany (of Brittany and Reddell fame) since childhood and, after my session with Brittany and Reddell, I was absolutely thrilled to meet Laine. And the best part? She was just as amazing as I expected! Laine is such a sweet, caring mom already and her husband, Lance, already has his daughter wrapped around his finger. I am so happy for this little family, the love they’ve created, and all of the amazing memories they will make over the next few years and for the rest of their loves.
Really, babies are just the best. And Kate? Well, she is perfect.
