Our Trip to Washington DC | Fayetteville Arkansas Photographer

This summer, my family was blessed to go on several awesome trips and our last trip of the summer was no exception.

I have loved Washington DC since the first time I went there as a newly graduated high school senior and, when my in-laws designated Washington DC as the place to visit this summer (my brother-in-law lives there with his family), I was thrilled. I knew it might be a little hard to run around the city with two little boys in tow, but they were absolute perfection during our trip. Maxwell loved the Metro and constantly talked about how much he loved the trains and, a few days into our trip, he had the thrill of his life when we rode a city bus before going to see the elephants at the zoo. As for Henry, he strolled in his stroller like nobody’s business and mastered crawling stairs the first afternoon we arrived at our apartment. Andrew and I also had an amazing time. We are both history nerds- I have a Bachelor’s Degree in History and my husband is currently working on his Master’s in History- and it was so much fun to walk around and see all the historic sites. Plus, our family was there! And if you know me, you know that I love my family!

Here’s our trip in seventy-something photographs!

(Spoiler: I am the brunette with ombréd hair.)

PS. All of these photographs were taken with a Canon Mark II and a Canon 24L Tilt Shift and 35L 1.4. The Canon 35L is the BEST to travel with.
