Fayetteville Portrait Photographer | Khaki

Oh, Lake Fayetteville.

Lake Fayetteville is gorgeous.

When my husband and I moved here from Utah, we left Max with my mother-in-law in our new apartment two days after we arrived. We drove around Fayetteville, trying to familiarize ourselves with the area (well, let’s be honest, we were trying to find a Panera) and when we found a sign saying “Lake Fayetteville”, we turned in to see what Lake Fayetteville had to offer. And Lake Fayetteville? It did not disappoint. From that first June afternoon that Andrew and I walked around the trails holding hands, I have loved Lake Fayetteville. It is one of my favorite spots in the entire area. So! When Khaki and I decided we’d be taking photographs at sunrise for her portrait session, I typed out “Lake Fayetteville!” without a second thought. Lucky for me, Khaki loves Lake Fayetteville, too, and when we started shooting at the edge of the water, Khaki told me that, out of all the spots at the lake, the one we were shooting at was her favorite. And y’know? I think it just might be my favorite spot there now, too.

Thanks for a great morning, Khaki! It was great finally meeting you!

Lissa Chandler is a portrait and wedding photographer in Northwest Arkansas. Lissa lives in Fayetteville with her family: a husband who proved to her he knew how to cook green bean casserole last night (even though he calls it “Durkee Beans” which, let’s face it, is odd), a two year old who is sporting his very first black eye (courtesy of trying to twist down the biggest slide at the park this afternoon), a FIVE month old (today!!) who still resists solids but spends his afternoons trying to crawl across the room, and a shaggy dog, Napoleon, who she frequently mistakes for a teddy bear. Lissa often travels to the Greater Kansas City area and is available for travel nationwide. *

But wait! There’s (always!!) more! 2012 Senior Photographs of My Cousin Jade  + The Greenleaf Family at Home +  Lincoln’s Baby Photos (Can’t Wait Until Summer!! And Summer Babies!)
